Meet Erica – Founder of Abide Movement™

Hi, I’m Erica Krider, the guide behind Abide Movement™.

My work is informed by trauma-aware somatic principles, movement, breath, and nervous system regulation. I am a licensed mental health counselor and a trauma-informed yoga teacher (CYT-200). Abide Movementâ„¢ was created as a non-clinical space grounded in care, reverence, and respect for the body.

I created this space for women of color who are tired of pushing through pain, carrying stress alone, and being told to “just relax", without their lived experiences being understood.

Abide Movementâ„¢ is a soft place to land.

A space to return to your body, your breath, and your inner knowing without pressure, performance, or fixing.

What is Somatic Healing?

Somatic healing is a body-based approach that supports emotional regulation by working with sensation, breath, and gentle movement. Instead of talking through experiences, somatic practices invite awareness into the body—where stress, tension, and survival responses often live.

Abide Movementâ„¢ focuses on slow, intentional practices that support the nervous system without overwhelm, making them accessible even on hard days.
